Dry Needling on the Gold Coast

Dry needling is a safe and effective treatment method for a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain and associated conditions.

Dry needling is the insertion of very fine needles into muscular trigger points, also known as knots. Trigger points are thought to arise due to stress or injury that damages the muscle cell. this damage causes the release of inflammatory chemicals and metabolic substances that restrict blood flow, shorten the muscle fibre and sensitises nerve endings that send pain signals to the brain. Dry needling is thought to interrupt this process, restoring the muscle fibre to its original lengthened state whilst alleviating pain and tension.

When I strained my lower back moving house it was a disaster, I needed someone who knew what they were doing and I am so thankful I stumbled accross Lauren. I was only half way through the move and with Lauren’s treatment I was able to continue to function and keep packing and lifting from barely being able to stand upright. I actually couldn’t believe the results I was getting after our sessions. No suffering through excessive pressure, she just applied the right amount and got things moving again, always knowing where to dig in and where to go easy. I only wish I hadn’t been moving interstate so I could of continued working with her through all my other little niggles.
